Michael is an experienced trial attorney who is active in criminal, civil, and corporate law. A diligent advocate, Mr. Ashley remains focused on his clients' objectives in order to further their interests. His practice has spanned from the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California to the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

A graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law and Hampton University, he served as Director of Government and Policy Affairs for the Mid-Atlantic Black Law Students Association and was a member of the American Bar Association's Law Student Trial Advocacy Competition team. He has authored scholarly articles on police accountability in addition to studying international law at the University of Aberdeen in Aberdeen, Scotland and Wake Forest University's Worrell House in London, England. 

 

Mr. Ashley has substantial experience in the federal legislature as a professional staff member at the United States House of Representatives in addition to time with the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

Michael is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.  Mr. Ashley is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association, and Essex County Bar Association.
